Terms and Conditions

All that takes place within the hypnotherapy sessions is treated with respect, discretion and strict confidentiality. I will keep confidential notes to assist with future treatment which are kept in secure files at all times. Unless you choose to tell them, your GP, your family, spouse, employer or place of study will not know and neither will anything go on your medical record without your consent. There are a few exceptions for legal or safety reasons (for example if you are about to cause harm to yourself, others or children). If I felt legally obligated to break confidentiality I would inform you and explain why. In some cases, in order to give you the best possible treatment and to further enhance the effectiveness of hypnotherapy I would ask that treatment be carried out with the knowledge of your General Practitioner or other Health Care Professional. However, this can only happen with your written consent. MK Hypnotherapy is bound by the ethical code of the Association of Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy (APHP)

Scheduling a Session

At the time of booking an appointment, you will be asked to leave a contact address and phone number. It is the client’s responsibility to inform the MK Hypnotherapy of any change of contact details during their treatment.

Payment is by cash or cheque only and payment is due in full by the end of the session. You can either pay per session or pay for a block of sessions upfront. Please ask if you need a receipt / invoice. Please make any cheques payable to MK Hypnotherapy

Once a session is booked, that time is yours. I reserve the right to charge in full for any cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice, as it is highly unlikely the session can be reallocated. I will endeavour to give as much notice as possible should we need to cancel or alter the timing of our session.

If you are running late, please let us know as soon as possible. We will do our best to make a full session available but as our ability to do so will depend upon bookings after your appointment we cannot guarantee to do so.

If you are undertaking a longer course of treatment, please notify me of any holiday breaks and I will do likewise. You will of course not be expected to pay for sessions when you are on holiday (some therapists do charge).

All reasonable steps will be taken to ensure your safety  – physically and psychologically. I will refuse to see anyone under the influence of alcohol or non-prescribed drugs.

If you have paid upfront for a course of treatment that you do not complete, unused sessions will be refunded upon request. If you have attended a session or cancelled a session at short notice, then I cannot refund for the session as I cannot refund my time.
